Whoopi Goldfish

Over the past few months, I have discovered that college can be a lonely place. Frequently, I find myself missing my pets back home like Piggy, or my cat, Prissy, and even Leif, who isn't a pet per se, but a little brother is pretty damn close, right? Here at college, we students crave the affection that only a cuddly creature can provide.
I won't say that it wasn't a surprise when a group of friends and I went into a pet shop I became overwhelmed with the need to smuggle anything, everything into my dorm room! The only pets that are officially allowed here in the dorms are fish, which aren't all that...cuddly. Have you ever cuddled a fish? Or cuddle fish? Either way, they are cold and smelly.
The long and short of it all is that I wanted a pet and I would stop at nothing to get one! Despite the fact that I have a marked propensity towards fuzzy critters rather than scaly ones, I became completely enamored with those little black moor goldfish. If you need a visual, they are in essence, the pug of the aquatic world. They have ridiculous bulgy eyes that even have tendencies to fall out! Gross! And yet so. Frigging. Adorable!
Since then, I have been recycling bottles (5 cents each) to buy this marine masterpiece! Now, I am proud to say on the first of this month, I finally bought one and took her home.
With out further ado, I would like to introduce you to my black moor (also known as the black dragon eye):

And, yes. She is named after one of my favourite actresses! =]

Rings and Things

So today was a highly productive day (productive being synonymous with "I had the hardest time getting my ass out of bed.")I couldn't think of a thing to do for the longest morning after I got up so I turned on Spotify and danced like someone from a loony bin around my room. I ought not to jump onto my desk. I'm pretty sure I gave my goldfish quite a rattle.
I decided to settle down a smidge, because really, after seeing Finding Nemo, it is best to stay on a fish's good side. I surfed the web for a while, hoping to strike the jackpot of virtual gold. And LO! I did! The ring showed here: http://www.digbyandiona.com/store/show/STR I've decided that I want this adorable hand accessory! With. My. BODY. And trust me, I'll be laying the hints on hints when I find my self a tasty dish of a man.
I showed the ring to my horse, Keefer, who promptly farted. I ordered him out but he is a stubborn ass and when he finally left he took my spinny chair too! I really should get him put down. He is getting to be more trouble than he is worth.
